Last Wednesday my wonderful mother-in-law came to visit for the day. We were supposed to be doing yard work but instead I opted that she show me what was weeds and I would make note of them to later have Tom deal with. Instead we went around checking out some of the little shops in the area. My favorite stop of the day was Stitch Your Art Out in Pine Grove Mills. Previously I thought they dealt only in knitting and crochet supplies but alas they also have terrific fabric as well as some wool felting supplies. I was able to pick up some beautiful colored wool at a really decent price.
Now I can use some of these colors to finish my wool garland for the kitchen and hopefully make some more earrings. I just loved how vibrant the colors are!
I have also recently gotten back into cross stitching since I found Wee Little Stitches on Etsy. They have these awesome pixel people patterns of Star Wars characters, Superheros and many more pop culture groups. I've always enjoyed cross stitching but I've never been one for a pretty floral scene or cows in a pasture. Anyway, I was super excited yesterday when I stopped by Barnes&Noble to browse the craft book section and came across this...
This book comes complete with totally inappropriate cross stitch patterns like zombies, poisonous flowers, squashed bugs and ransom note lettering. Now I just need to acquire the book The World of GeekCraft and I should be set for a while.
I'm trying to finish up a shirt for T right now that has an embroidered Storm Trooper on it. I'll post pics when it's complete...provided it turns out okay.
